I am building a HTPC based on a Turion ML-28 processor. I am using an ASROCK K8NF4G-SATA2 motherboard, since I have read on a forum that other people have succesfully run Turion processors on this board.

My problem is when I come to power the thing on: with both 4-pin 12V and 20-pin ATX motherboard connectors connected, nothing happens when I press the power button, no fans, nothing - the PSU just doesn't seem to start!

Howeve, when I just plug in the 20-pin connector, things seem to happen: the disks start and motherboard-connected fans spin, but no life otherwise (the system doesn't make any beeps or an attempt to POST.

It seems to me that something is obviously broke. I get the same problem with another PSU, so the PSU is obviously fine. It's either the CPU or motherboard that has gone. My question for you people is, any idea which one - since I don't want to replace both if possible.

Thanks
Jon
