Alfa Romeo 156 Selespeed problems

I have a friend who is having problems with his Alfa 156 Selespeed,it fails to select any gear at all, we think we've tracked the problem down to a dodgy actuator! As these are about £900 new does anyone know where if anywhere we can source a reconditioned or a secondhand item from?

A main dealer should be able to offer you a reconditioned one./

i take it you cant get it done under warrenty?

youll have to get on an alfa site, there must be some real alfa pervs out there who will be able to diagnose it, but i suspect that being an alfa it will be a major problem.

I'm on my third 156. Thats why I'd never buy a sillyspeed.
