What's the highest quality video connector out of that lot? I'm referring to two main situations:

- Connecting video card to TFT
- Connecting Sky box to HDTV

There are so many video connection options and just wondering whether I need to be looking for TFTs that will connect by s-video or comp as opposed to DVI?

Also am I right in saying that component = composite and requires three cables- red, green and blue?

Panting like a fiend
Componant = best TV connector, 3 seperate cables for different parts of the signal
RGB = Second best, and the best one you're likely to find in normal use (Sky supports it, but not Componant).
Composite = very basic, the worst of the bunch.

For connecting a videocard to a TFT a digital signal delivered by DVI or HDMI is best (it avoids it having to go digital - analogue- digital).

For Sky to HDTV RGB is the best you'll normally get, unless you have one of the HD Sky boxes which I think support componant and HDMI (HDMI would be best, but for that application it wouldn't make much difference at the moment if you used componant).
