Vista ISO to a spare HDD?

Hi! I have downloaded the Vista BETA2, but I don't have a DVD burner to put it on a disk.

However I see no reason why I can't extract the ISO onto a spare HDD I have, then boot from that drive. Can it be done, or is a DVD really the only way to do it? If I can do it, whats the best free software to extract it with?

Thanks Pyrosoft, I think its working - I might end up putting a new partition on my main drive though 'cos the spare seems to have some errors! Checking now to see if I can do anything. Thanks!

if you don't mind dual booting then mounting it using daemon tools is the way to go without burning a dvd.

i think you also get the option to upgrade your current install but you'd have to be a complete mug to do that. really it has to be a clean install always, regardless of what versions of windows you are using....
