Vista ISO to a spare HDD?

Hi! I have downloaded the Vista BETA2, but I don't have a DVD burner to put it on a disk.

However I see no reason why I can't extract the ISO onto a spare HDD I have, then boot from that drive. Can it be done, or is a DVD really the only way to do it? If I can do it, whats the best free software to extract it with?

if you don't mind dual booting then mounting it using daemon tools is the way to go without burning a dvd.

i think you also get the option to upgrade your current install but you'd have to be a complete mug to do that. really it has to be a clean install always, regardless of what versions of windows you are using.... :)
