Hi, my girl friends laptop has gone funked and is being returned but she needs to get the data iff it. What i'm wanting to do is put it in my icybox for a 3.5" HDD with a converter from 2.5" to 3.5". Just wanted to check this is ok to do?

Thanks

Yer it's just to get the data off the hard drive. Was going to put it internally but my main computer uses sata drives and i've always seem to have problems when i mix types.

Just wanted to check it wont write over for any reason. Is there anything i need to do apart from just stick it in?

Thanks

Nope, it should work fine - have done it before myself many times.
