I bought an audiophile 2496 recently and that works fine its just i wanted to use my old sblive platinum for gaming as i get audio drop outs on oblivion even with a high latency setting.
Anyway when i installed the sblive (before audiophile) with onboard disabled when it installed drivers on new hardware found it locked up pc.
Just as a test i installed on mates pc and it works fine,played audio no probs and in games.
So i installed again this time it found and installed drivers ok but on playing audio it freezes the pc.
I`ve tried a bios update,diff slots and kx drivers but still same.
Any ideas? borked or is it an incompatabilty?
