Black screen coming out of 3D games?

Got an odd problem that's just start appearing. Sometimes, when I come out of a 3D game or app, such as Q4 or 3DMark, rather than the destop I get a totally black screen with just the mouse cursor. Ctrl-Alt-Del brings it straight back though.

Any thoughts?

7800GTX with 91.31 drivers.
