The difference between the Asus A8N-SLi SE and the Asus A8N-SLi Premium ?

A mate of mine wants to buy a new PCI-e motherboard and have recommended the Asus A8N-SLi SE nForce4 SLi (Socket 939).

But I've just noticed the premium edition for an extra 34 quid. What are the main differences and is it worth the extra cash?

Are there any known issues with this board? It seems quite nice for the price.

Thanks in advance,
Scott.

I had the same problem and after much deliberation the only thing i could work out different is that premium runs both cards sli at true 16 times, other than that nothing...

Help me out if i'm wrong but i plumbed for the se as I wasnt going to be running 2 cards.

It's the A8N32-SLi Deluxe nForce4 SLi X16 that runs both slots at x16 speed.

The main (only?) difference between the SE and the premium is that the premium has passive cooling on the chipset.

The original fan on the then deluxe version was loud and problematic I believe but this may have been sorted out on the SE.
