regedit reversal?

Misspent youth (know-it-all-itus) came back and bit me this morning.

Well in my folding frenzy to get our server crunching I used Billy's

How to process FAH WUs on non-internet-connected computers.

post and double-clicked the userID to change the registry of our server to be as per ID of my workstation. (stupid I know)

No reprocussion untill this morning.
Following powercut and server UPS startup warning message apears saying identical ID found (or something like that)
My director also ask it I could find out why the no longer has remote access from this home PC :eek:

If you delete the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PandeGroup\Folding@home" will my problems go away or do I need to do a shadowcopy rollback?

Yeah. Shut down folding and delete the key. It'll fetch a new ID.

But will it be the same ID as it was previously

Done, don't think I'll be folding on the server again - expect a 200+ppd drop from last four days

Edit: Would the .reg file have changed anything else?
