How many photos on a 1G card using an EOS 5D?

Hi there, the title says it all really. Thinking of buying a 5D but which size of compact flash to get? Would I see the benfit of a Sandisk extreme III above an Ultra II?

Sandisk Extreme cards are built to operate in very adverse conditions. They have a much lower min and higher temp operating range than the standard Ultra II cards. Useful for people climbing mountains, walking through deserts etc.
Extreme cards are probably overkill for an average Pro Photog

but to be onest i have just bought an extreme III for £30 (brand new) inc post.

so for £30 it is worth getting...
