Bridlington - Any good for a day trip?

Looking to go out for a day near the sea today.

Am in Nottingham.. no more that 2½ hours driving.

Is Bridlington a nice place?

It's not bad mate from what I remember of it. Pretty much built around day-visits. I haven't been there in about 10 years though!

Hunstanton is your typical family beach resort with candy floss, ice cream vans, ropey old amusements and run down entertainments... I hate it.

Holkham Bay on the other hand is a lovely place to walk... bit further up the coast.
