I'm only after getting a Dell Precision M65 laptop from work. It runs on the Centrino Duo platform. The machine is very speedy and responsive and overall I'm happy with it. However, I use Windows Explorer and am getting peeved off with the amount of times it hangs when browsing through the directoy structure!

Does anyone know why this happens? Any solutions to this problem. I did some research and it seems to be the flakiness of Explorer itself and the way it handles networked drives. I am constantly connected to a number of network drives so could this be the problem?

I suppose if their is an error somewhere in the network it may be keeping some data back for network drives or sending invalid data. Just a thought, a setting does it or something?
