Word 2003

When i start a new document (Ctrl+N) a whole new word window opens. In Word 97 a new document would open but would remain in the same window, is there anyway i can make new documents in word 2003 open in the same window?

Select Options from the Tools menu, and choose the View tab.

Turn off the Windows in Taskbar option, and click Ok.
