CPU usage

Hi

Just a quick question regarding CPU usage. Basically Im wondering if its normal having 100% CPU usage when I open task manager.. It lasts not even a second before it drops but should it do this? CPU is an Athlon 64 4000+.

CPU's often use 100% simply because they're doing something as fast as they can, you'll find with a slower processor it'd just do it slower. 'Tis perfectly normal, although I thought the same when I first saw it.
