Supporting Users and Troubleshooting a Microsoft Windows XP Operating System 70-271
Required
Supporting Users and Troubleshooting Desktop Applications on a Microsoft Windows XP Operating System 70-272

your better off doing the 70-270 exam because you can work towards a mcsa.

Cisco ones are a must in the networking field.
Microsoft ones are a must in the technician field.
Experience is a must for any field.

couldnt agree more with that statement, although any "free" qualifications are worth doing if your employer is willing to pay ;)

that is complete utter tripe...

why might i ask do you feel any MS qualification is 'pants'?

I agree i thought a MS qualification would be worthwhile being as 90% of companies have/use Microsoft software???

Holy Thread Resurection  :D

I got my MCDST today  :D and I feel that it is useful and I hope that it will help me to get a job in IT

I thought it was perfect because the job asks for "knowledge of the Microsoft family of applications"

if it's free it's worth doing
although as mentioned i'd see if they'll do one which can be used towards something else like mcsa

i've just got a job and they've thrown mcsa into my package as an incentive, which is pretty cool
