Hi all,
I need some help. My mate has a Pentium D 805 and 2x512 Nanya ddr2 533 ram in dual channel. He wants to overclock his cpu to the limit, without changing the voltages. Can anybody tell me the limit of it? I heard it was 3.5 gig? He wants it to have at 3.2-3.5.

Now its not my fault he got the slow ram, he bought the whole pc without telling me :p

okay when I get into his bios > cellmenu. I was able to get it running at 2.9, ram at 533 mhz in bios, (but in CPU Z it showed an other frequency) When I tried to get the FSB at 146mhz, it wouldn't boot, and when putting the memory frequency at 'auto' it doesn't want to boot at all. So there was one option left, 677. We tried to boot it at 146FSB and 677mem speed. but it also didn't worked. We just tried to get at the mobo limit, which was 165FSB. it also didnt worked. His divider is 1:2 (FSB:RAM). Is there any way of getting it further? His bios is from 07/28/2005, Phoenix Technologies... should we flash it to a newer version?

This is a screenie when he had one stick of 512 and rest stock:
