Power Supply Suggestion?

hey..

I got £170 - but i need to get a graphics card out of this aswell, so it depends on what i can get. Link to graphics card suggestion - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=7474349#post7474349

Although, i want it to be powerful enough to power:

AMD 2800+ Barton
1GB 3200 ram
120GB harddrive
3 80mm fans
dvd writer and cd writer

and whatever graphics card

Going to buy a X800GTO

So what would be a good Power supply unit, i was looking at these 2:

Hiper HPU-4K580-MK Type R 580W Modular ATX2.2 PSU - Black UV (CA-005-HP) - Price: £54.95 (£64.57 Including VAT at 17.5%)

or

Seasonic S12 430W Silent ATX2.0 Power Supply (CA-000-SS) - Price: £39.95 (£46.94 Including VAT at 17.5%)

The Hiper seems a bit more appealing due to the Wire's sleeving, not sure what type of sleeving comes with the Seasonic, shall have to do some research...

whats ** view on those two power supplys....

Aviod the Hiper.

Seasonic does not have sleeving, the wires are twisted to help make it a little more neat.

I would reccomend the FSP Bluestorm 500W, its sleeved and a great performer. Looks as though it will suit your needs better.

Nothing wrong with the Hiper PSU

The Seasonic and FSP supplies are better quality though

Brilliant bit of kit, modular too, so nice and tidy. I have and Im delighted with it, and it has a very good reputation also.

Oh just noticed your budget, maybe a cheaper Enermax then?

For his PC a good 350W PSU will be more than enough

I'm only running mine of a 380W with no issues whatsoever

For your PC & with the X800GTO (very good card for the price btw), the Seasonic S12 430W would be more than enough. Have seen A64 rigs with X1800XT cards run on these & they would require far more power.

You could also think about the Enermax 400w modular which is within your budget and powerful enough for your system from a good solid brand.

The OCZ 450w modular looks to have fairly decent specifications and price but I haven't heard anything about it, maybe someone else can shed more light on its qualities or lack of them?

OCZ make top quality PSUs so I'd expect their modular series to be just as good as their previous PSUs
