I need it to be quiet, and future proof. I want to be able to play the latest games on it, but not at high detail (as the budget cant afford it)

I already have a 6800gt and a hiper 580w psu. This is what I have, when the computer is silent. If somone can make me a better spec for £550 as I could sell the psu and gpu? (doesnt have to be silent?)

Hmm, here's what I just cooked up for £560 (slightly over, doesn't include postage either alas!)

I'm not too sure on how good the 7600GT is, but the budget won't allow for a better one without a compromise elsewhere.

If your on a tight budget don't by the side panel now as its purely cosmetic, pick one up in a few weeks when you have more money.

p+p though. I want to buy it all together

edit to yewen: would the blue led for the vf900 be louder then the non led one, as you said led fans are louder than normal fans

Are normally louder.

I have not used both of them so can not really comment, the fan comment was to case fans as I pointed out when making it, a £10 normal case fan will always be better than a £10 LED one, still noisey as your looking at £40+ a fan for silence at 12v and they are quite hard to easily get your hands on.

The VF700 and the fatality LED one I think the normal one was much quieter, but I only ever used the VF700 so can't really say for sure.

Then don't get a window, as you could spend £20 more, which on your budget can go a long way.

Lol?

Yate Loons are the ultimate in value and silence, I think its £5 for a fan and at 12V they are silent, put them at 7V and they show their magic though.

And L.E.D fans are just normal fans but with lights?

Heres my go, I have no idea of what motherboards to chose so maybe you can pick a cheaper one!

Yate Loons are far from silent to me.

You are looking at £40 per fan for proper out of hearing fans at 12v.

If Yate Loons were silent at 12v why 7v them?

To get them more silent, im a silent freak.

I have never seen a £40 fan. SPCR rate Yate Loons highly, and hugely dislike SilenX (peices of overpriced rubbish).

SPCR are highly Antec biased on cases, I take most things they say with a pinch of salt.

The 80mm SilenX fans next to the Yate Loons I had completely wiped the floor with them.

I prefer to make my own opinion up on things, especially as half the stuff I have read from SPCR posted by others is wrong in my opinion.

But thats just me, I don't like reviews of most cases as they don't concentrate on the problems with cases, its easy to find the good points, but thats a question for CC that ive been over lots of times. :)

Don't beleive everything you read, SPCR helped design the P180, why their forums only really recommend them, and why they rate the case higher than ANY other site on the net. Slightly biased maybe.... :o

Industrial grade fans can go a lot higher than £40 per fan.

True, there are a good amount of people with P180's, but thats because it is designed for quiet use and is a quiet case.

Theres the gallery, to show the types of cases people use. There is a nice mix of cases and fans. But mostly it boils down to Antec P150/Solo's and Yate Loon or Nexus (Exact same fan, one is orange, one is not :p).

Its because they have to budget in the LED's into the price, so don't bother to silence them, as people who want lights in their PC's dont usually go for silence.

Its just the fact they can sell LED fans that are loud, as people blindy buy them, but normal fans need to be quiet for the informed to buy them.

How it works, LED's don't make the fan louder, but usually, if not always LED's are put on cheaper fans. Not hard to comprehend why.

AC Ryans are about the best LED fans I have used, and they were overpriced and dire in comparisson to even ADDA fans.

Silent cases are a waste of time. My S80 is louder than my v1000+. Add me to MSN Wheaty to save cluttering up others threads.
