Weird question but have always wondered as to the answer, surely the cant self diagnose and self prescribe, so do they go to other GP's in the same surgery? Same kind of goes for doctors i supppose.

Probably diagnose themselves, go see a colleague, say "do you think thats right?", colleage goes "mmm yeah sounds it", gets a perscription signed, job done.

Colleagues.

Yeah thats what i thought but if you work in a surgery with say 3 other gp's would they neccesarily want them knowing personal info about their health etc. Maybe they just refer themselves to specialists straight off so its kind of self diagnosis. But then again maybe they all go private, infact thinking about it id be suprised if they didnt.

I should imagine they go to a different surgery for exactly that reason.
