I have just added 2 more 512mb sticks of "PNY" memory to the spec in my sig....

Everything seems to be fine (set to 2T, running in dual channel etc) but when I had 2 sticks of 512 in, they ran at 200mhz, and now its telling me the 4 x 512 sticks are running at 166mhz!!!

My question is, since the mobo set up is set to "Auto", should I be manually setting it to 200mhz???

The mobo specs say that 4 double sided memory sticks (as all mine are) can only run at 166mhz, but I have been told that they should still run at 200mhz as the mobo came outr before my processor!?!?!? Is this right??

Can I update my bios maybe to get it to automatically set to 200mhz??

Thanks for any assistance guys...

What core is your 3200? Winchester, Newcastle or Venice?

Try setting to 200mhz and see if you're stable

Come what may with 4x512mb you're stuck at 2T, but you can usually change back to 200mhz fine.

Scratch that question, tried the 4 sticks and my system crashed twice whilst playing Ghost Recon!!!

Looks like I'm gonna have to try and sell my 2 x 512's and invest in 2 x 1gb sticks!!!

Any suggestions for decent, reasonably priced memory?? (not bothered about overclocking!!)

Cheers, StevieP
