Hi there, I have just reseated my zalman with some artic silver - blew out all the dust while i was at it, and reconnected the cables that were obstructing my reach during it.

I have put everything back to where it should be, however when turning the power on, the fan sarts then stops once abruptly and will not go further in the booting process  tried reconnecting all cables again but to no avail.

Any ideas to what could be causing this?

Many thanks,

Calum

Thanks for the advice but it seems moving the computer upstairs without any change to the circuitry has somehow sprung it back into life  I'm totally bemused, maybe the journey jolted it  weird.

Oh well, at least it's working again :D
