Look at me! Please check this spec, lads. (£550/$1000)

I've been putting together a spec for a machine I intend to build for a friend. He doesn't play games; just does office, photos, movies, Internet, etc. I decided to do a Pentium D 805 spec that would be able to upgrade to Conroe/Kentsfield as prices come down. I won't overclock like mad but I'd like to get a decent speed out of it as not overclocking an 805 is patent nonsense.

Tell me if there's anything wrong with this spec. I'll be buying in the US. I will spend whatever money that is left over of the $1000 on a Dell 1707fp.

To keep under budget and get a Seasonic I'd have to go down to the
Seasonic S12-430 ATX12V 430W Power Supply for $99.99 or the
Enermax Liberty ELT500AWT ATX12V 500W Power Supply for $104.99

Is the Liberty that much better as to make up for 50W? It certainly is prettier looking but I'm leery about dual 12V rails as I've never used a PSU with them before.

Go for the FSP mate... just been reading a few articles, dont seem as bad as I first thought, its just that I have used bith Enermax and Seasonic... let me know how the FSP performs under load

Are there any compatibility problems between either PSU and the motherboard with all that 20-pin/24-pin and 4-pin/8-pin nonsense?

EDIT: As for the FSP, I have an extremely similar one from them in my overclocked dual Xeon rig and it's as solid as a rock. I'm at double the chips' rated speeds and the PSU never has any problems.

The Geil will do fine. Even the value 533\667 kits can clock reasonably well (not that you need to).

I'd stay with the FSP\Sparkle PSU, unless you really must have modular...

After what seems like an eternity I finally got around to building last night. I threw it all together, hit the Lian-Li's beautifully crafted power switch and she whirred to life.

I changed the FSB from 133 MHz to 166 MHz, rebooted, and without futzing with anything else ran at 3.33 GHz. I'm going to enjoy this one I think.
