Pinhole cameras

I remember when I was younger making a pinhole camera out of a shoe box and some BW paper.

I remember massive depth of focus and loonnnggg exposure times.

I thought I would try the same thing with my 300D... One bit of kitchen foil and a pin later I came up with this (it also does a v.good job of showing up sensor dust

So this was taken with just the body, no lens and the silver foil over the 'hole' where the lens attaches !

Not quite L glass, So who can do better

LOL! I might give this a go sometime. Did you use a tripod?

Ended up with about 0.5s exposure times so just held the camera against the wall....

I think the 'circleness' of the hole is important for sharpness !

It really does show up the crap on the sensor!
