Need some new boots having not played for a few years. My plan is to get some firm ground boots for around £20 and then get some Predators or F50+ when the ground gets softer. I just need to get through pre season and some tournaments without playing in trainers :p

I have found the Nike Total 90 III for £16 which looks like a good buy. Can anyone suggest anything else?

Total 90's suck ass.
You might as well cover your bare feet in grease and try and play.

Mind you, they are all i ever wore on hard ground.
Still rubbish mind.

Hmmm I ordered them but might send them back straight away in that case. Not quite sure what to do for the best, I want a good quality soft ground pair of boots but can't really justify £50+ on some firm ground boots for 2/3 months maximum. Playing with blades on hard ground isn't really an option as they ruin my heels. Are they really that bad? Should I get astro turfs instead?

If you're getting the new F50+'s they can have both firm and soft ground studs interchangeable so why don't you buy them now and keep them for the rest of the season and save yourself £20

They are the Tunit version, I will just be going for the soft ground blades.

Guys,

What would you say is the best on-line shop to buy footie boots from? My local boot shop is now closed and places like JJB etc are just pants, after another pair of Valsport tbh.

Cheers

Get yourself on ebay and buy some second hand proper moulded boots with life left in them. I recently bought a pair of second hand umbro specialis for £12. They were in amazing condition and have still got loads of life left in them. Look for boots that are not as common as Nike and Adidas and you may find yourself a bargin.

I wouldn't buy second hand boots :p

Well they arrived today and are comfortable enough, bit plasticy but for £14 what do you expect! Only have to serve me a few pre season friendlies and a couple of tournaments so it would have been pointless spending much more.

I tried on some Predators yesterday and found them very narrow. They will give a bit which should make them just about ok but seemed strange that they were so narrow. I by no means have wide feet

I've got to admit I was a little concerned about how tight my new predators are. I do actually really like the boot though so i'm going to try wearing them for abit and see how my feet feel.

Guessing you've got pretty wide feet like myself Gilly? You found any boots that are pretty good for this?
