Recently (like 5 hours ago) my new pc got delivered;

AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 2.4ghz
MSI K9N Neo-F nForce 550 (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
2gb g.Skill DDR2 Ram
Seagate 7200.10 200gb sataII
I think this is the msot relevant hardware needed to solve my problem,

Ok, so i built i, plugged in all the cables, pushed the power button and weee...LIFE. Fans powered on, LEDs light up, and my screen shows a nice MSI logo. OK, so i want to install my OS now, i restart, pop the XP CD in my drive, press f11 (boot menu) and select DVD Drive. The XP system loads (inspecting hardware) and then loads all the modules (kernel debugger etc) then, it nears the end, says "loading Windows installer" and stops, for over an hour (still going). So i pop in a different XP CD, Same thing, I pop in both 64 and 32 version of Vista B2 it gets to end, then "winboot.exe" error or something, i have no idea whats wrong, everything seems fine up til this point. any help will be great.

I built it myself, the HD was OEM, so no disks. But the BIOS is recognising the HD properly, everything seems fine until i attempt to install XP< going to try Linux after resetting RAM, BIOS also recognises RAM fine too.
