I'm probably off to Vancouver in Sept and I'm thinking of driving down to Seattle for a day or two.

Does anyone know what the procedure is with crossing the border as a UK citizen? Will it be the same as flying into the US?

Also, if anyone's been to Seattle...what's worth seeing during a brief visit?

Thanks :)

I can help cause I did it a couple months ago :) (although it was from tsawassen - point roberts)

Basically depending on the mood of the guard you will do one or more of the following

a) Show your passports
b) Get a green visa waiver form
c) pay $6 US

the american border guard was an arse, so we had to do all 3. but at worst case it will take no more than 15 minutes of your time.

Just don't forget to give back your green bit of paper when you leave the states, surrender it to the canuck border guard.

Point roberts is a really tiny penninsula so its only a small sliver of america, was only there for about an hour :p

The peace arch is pretty thou :D (we also visited the BC/WA point too)
