I personally prefer to use a 28 - 200 as a walk about lens. You might find that 70mm is too tight for some situations. Alternitively a ~24 - 105~ is a nice walk about lens aswell.

I have it and LOVE it.

Bargain price for the IQ you will get with it.

Cant praise it enough, would be even better if i had a 1.4 or 2.0 tele.

You certainly seemed to get on with it when I met up with you that time :) It is certainly one of the nicest zooms you can buy!

The only thing I can see "wrong" with using a 1.4x TC is the loss of a stop - F/5.6 restricts your lighting conditions quite a lot without a tripod, and with a 2x TC its even worse plus you lose AF.

It's the business...fast, quiet, light and built very very well. General walkabout depends on how wide or how far you want to get, this lens sits right in the middle.

Yeah I do like it a lot, 1.4 has gotta be the way forward.
Sure someone else had a play with it that night was it yourself or Terras
cant remember.
