Hi guys, I am looking to spend around 400pounds on a new setup. I already have RAM and a case/monitor/KB etc. I just need the essentials such as CPU, Mobo, GFX card. If anybody could give any suggestions I would be greatul.

Thanks. :D

Whats it for? web browsing, gaming?
Do you multitask?
Does it need to be quiet/silent?
Do you need a dvd/cd burner?

Your probably looking at something A64 based as conroe and X2 are probably out of range.

Hi - sorry for the late reply, I hvae Crucial Ballistix PC3200 1GB.

It's for gaming and mIRC etc.. It doesn't have to have a DVD/RW as my laptop has one but would be nice if it did.

So DDR.

Do you need cpu/ram upgradability? If not, get a great 939 bargain, if so you'll have to sell the ram somehow.

A few questions still to answer...
-Do you multitask and would you benefit from a dual core cpu?
-Does it need to be silent or quiet?
