Hi, I use AOL at the moment for ADSL and am getting disconnected all the time and I dont know why. It seems to be every 10-15 mins but I can have periods when I am online for a while. What could be the problem here? I dont think its microfilters since the phone works whilst I am connected.

Here some stats from the line: Using a BT Voyager 100 modem

Local/Remote attenuation 63.5/31.5
SNR 14.5

Any advice on what I should do? It never used to cut out but has recently.

I have been experiencing exactly the same problem (on Demon, not AOL) recently and it has now escalated to the point that it hardly ever works. AOL should be able to see that your service keeps on dropping out and log it as a fault woth BT (if AOL support are anything like Demon, it will take a bit of pushing to get them to log it with BT, but perservere and you should eventually win).

Noit sure why, but my broadband only seems to work when I am on the phone or when the phone is off the hook. Might be worth checking if the same happens with you as I just leave the phone off the hook all the time now so that I can access the internet...
