My girlfreinds iPod shuffle has recently been playing up. When i plug it into the PC it shows up in iTunes and then when you drag a song onto it, it says "the iPod cannot be updated. The disk could not be read from or written to." When I restore it it works again and then after a while it does it again. Its no longer under warranty, just wondering if anyone has had the same problem and weather its fixable. Probably time for a new iPod, Cheers.

Had the exact same thing with mine, unfortunately it was bought in the US and apple UK didnt want to know 
Gone back to iRiver now, much better players in my opinion. (no flaming please, its just my view
