How much faster is a x1900xtthen a 1800xt?

I can't remember the exact figures but I seem to recall a figure of ~10% being bandied about so given there is about £80 difference between the X1800XT 256mb and the X1900XT 512mb I'd go with the X1800XT particularly if you are going to upgrade soonish anyway. If you play at really high resolutions though you might be better to get the X1900XT right away though.

Can the x1800xt 215mb run that HansG 19inch widescreen monitor at decent resolutions and eye candy?

to be honest theres not a massive increase over the x1800 with a x1900.
i had the 512mb x1800 before my 1900xt, and nothing seems to be that much faster. i think i was sweet talked about the extra pixel shaders would be helpful in new games

IMHO res 1600x1200 or less the 1800xt will last till the dx10 cards are released.

Higher res 1920x1200 or more :eek: then you may want the 1900xt if u want all the bells and whistles.

To be honest, at £150 for the 1800 its a fantastic buy till christmas!

I use my X1800XT for 1920x1200 with all the bells and whistles (don't need aa :)) :D
