AVG doesn't appear at startup

Hi all,

I have a problem with my AVG free edition. I can't seem to find an option anywhere to tell it to start when windows starts. When I first installed it, it did, but now it doesn't. I have ran adaware and spybot and they have removed some things that might have been responsible, but it's still happening.

AVG detects a virus during the scan, and at the end displays a result, but nothing that reassuringly says 'virus destroyed' or anything. Will the virus still have been removed?

I would like to get AVG to start automatically when I turn on my PC. Any ideas?

Hi Vinegartom,

Have you tried reinstalling AVG?

If you look in the "Test Results" section once youve done a scan it should tell you what action was taken. If its being detected everytime you scan then theres a chance its not being removed.

Yeh I did try reinstalling it, but the problem reoccured...

I'm just scanning again now. If it is found again, how do I get rid of it?

try avast! home edition, it is also free and could remove the virus.
