sky + upgrade problem

Hi
I have just installed an 80 GB hard drive for my sky+ box and performed the full system reset. However, the sky unit will not record. The lights on the front on the sky box i.e. showing record, play and rewind/forward are flashing continuously.

Does anyone have any idea what has happened and how I can remedy this?

Was the HDD brand new and unformatted?

Hi

Its from xtendedplay who supply HD's for PVR's. I just followed the instructions to install it as they state that the drives come fully prepared and tested.

Still having the same problems. I might ttry an old maxtor HD I have left over from an old PC but I need to prepare I think before it goes into the Sky box.
