ive just changed my RAM to:

G.Skill 2GB DDR2 HZ PC2-6400 (2x1GB) CAS4 Dual Channel Kit
(F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ) (MY-013-GS)

can anyone confirm if the DS4 and this RAM will work?

It should do according to other users in this thread, the HZ overclocks very well and can handle the timings the BIOS sets.

Boots with my DQ6, should do the same with the DS4.

The beta BIOS somehow made my overclocked Geil 667 @ 752 stable at +.1v instead of +.2v, also i still can't run my G.skill by itself, it locks up etc.. and does still need the geil to boot properly and run, it set itself to the Geils SPD when mixed with it, so i currently have 3GB installed at DDR752 and what looks like 4 6 6 18 at 1.9v Looks dual prime95 stable so far, few hours now, memtest after it passes 24hr prime.

Just to double check with all the posts, im going to purchase the G.Skill 2GB DDR2 HZ PC2-6400 memory from OCUK. All good for the DS4?

See my thread in the memory forum. I have a DS4 and use GSkill 6400 HZ RAM (2x1GB). It work straight away, then borked. I now have 1 stick running and am going to flash the bios before trying 2 sticks again.

TBH this board/RAM situation is a flipping joke. I have read on XS that it may be a problem with the RAM being programmed incorrectly and the SPD telling the board the wrong voltage/CAS. I have also ready that it may be the BIOS forcing CAS3 on the RAM and some can take it and others can't.

All I know is that this is the most unreliable new rig I have ever built and I am not happy after spending this much cash. I just hope that Gigabyte/GSkill et al get this sorted ASAP.

Good luck if you buying a Gigabyte C2D system......... You'll need it!
