hi guys

my 250Gb seagate died last week, so i applied for a RMA, posted on the 1st Aug and received today 4th Aug

bloody awesome turnaround, hats off to them!

right then, on my new hard drive, at the top of the sticker it says "certified Repaired HDD"

what does this mean? is it the same hard drive tat has been repaired or is it a another one they have sent me? i.e reconditioned as it were? it has a different serial number to the one i sent back.

anyone know!

thanks

All repaired/reconditioned/refurbished hard drives are pretty much as good as brand new. They are repaired with new components but are marked so a full warranty is not re-issued.
