what mm measurement fan do i need for the back of my case? just want that little bit of extra cooling for my new conroe system...

normally....

.... they are 80mm, a rule should help you confirm that.

It depends on the case, some are 80, 92 or 120mm.

i believe it is 92mm wide-does this mean i need 92mm fan or is it height?

If the fan measures 92mm across from one edge to the other then it'll be a 92mm fan.

Most will use 120mm and 80mm fans - 92mm fans aren't greatly popular.
