You may notice two things missing off that list. The mobo and memory. Was gonna wait for the 590 sli mobos to turn up and get that sli ready memory as well. But I just know I may not be able to wait that long when I get home and see all the above delivered (especially the screen).

First of all would a Asus P5W DH Deluxe work ok with the 7950?
Was also looking at the G.Skill 2GB DDR2 NR PC2-6400 for memory.

2nd question is should I continue to wait for this now mythical mobo and the swanky sli memory (which I think just has extra instructions so that it auto optimises).

Won't be doing much if any OC'ing of the above for a while so will the stock HS be ok? Looked at the ninja and thought it overkill + it's HUGE!

I believe that the Asus and the 7950 are compatible although I think there is some sort of compatiblity chart(maybe on Nvidia's website) to confirm. The memory should be fine as some Gskill only seems to have a problem with Gigabyte motherboards.

As to the second question I don't know what benefits the new motherboards and SLi memory will offer.

Yes the normal heatsink will be fine for running at stock but it probably isn't the quietest around.

Think I'll wait for the nvidia 590 chipset boards and sli memory.

All the above items arrived last night. That screen is amazing! Can't wait to see what the latest games look like at that res.
