The price off oil is dropping a little. But this is only a temp thing and they will soon start going back up again, so dont get used to this cheap price.

Texaco garage round here is having a laugh at 97.9p when literally 100 yards down the road it can be had at morissons for 91.9p

I've got a BP and an ESSO 300 yards apart on the main road and there is quite often a 3p or greater gap in the price of unleaded (in favour of ESSO). I don't really understand how they get any business, especially as the BP no longer does LPG either.

Check out the amount of people on the forum going "my 1.1l escort ONLY runs on BP ultimate ;) ;) ;) m8 m8 ;)" for your answer.

Of course they have ;) . The price will stay low until after november trust me on this. Well at least in the states it will stay below $3 at the pump. After november it will go up again.

Our local Texaco is always overpriced but it's handy as it's so near. Most of the time I fill up somewhere along the A50 so just use Tesco, BP, Esso or Shell.

So is ours. What I don't understand is that its literally 100 yards from an 89.9p Sainsburys, yet its almost always 7-8p a litre more..

Presumably they sell less fuel, so their operating costs are higher per litre of fuel that they do sell, and so they can't compete with Sainsburys... vicious circle...

What I don't understand, is people using the more expensive station in cases like this.

Near my woman's house, there's a Shell one side of the road (89.9ppL) and a Texaco the other side (94.9ppL). This is a small, residential road... Yet the Texaco is always busier than the Shell.
