Hi,

I'm looking for comparisions between the notebook core 2 duo T7600 processor against desktop processors.

I've had a scoot around the net but can only find comparisions against other notebook processors.

Anyone point me in the right direction, or basically which desktop core 2 duo would the T7600 stack up against ?

Cheers,

Do you mean the T2600?

It roughly compares with a Conroe E6300 but at half the power output and without the x64 instruction set. The best overclocks I've seen are on the Aopen 975X mobo that appears to send them up for around 3GHz, too.

Na the T2600 is the Core Duo notebook processor, this T7600 is the newer Core 2 Duo notebook one.

T2600 is 2.13ghz I believe, T7600 is 2.33ghz

I read in PC Pro mag that the T7600 is about 25% faster than the T2600, so I can use the fact the T2600 is similar to a E6300 and have a poke around the net.

Thanks,

Compare pretty much to Conroe's at the same speed. Minus a little for the lack of FSB.

Here's a few comparo's - T7400 Merom vs T2600 Yonah. Don't have the merom anymore tho i'm afraid so can't give you stock performance figures.
