q=square(d) because they ask for the shape of where the arrow poins which is the side of a cube.

typical exam questions...

I see many of those that could have multiple answers, yet an examiner would mark them as wrong if they were not in their line of thinking

also - how old is your Dutch friend? English is taught in Dutch schools from about 9-10 years old iirc
