chess game?

am looking for a chess game, must be software as some day i wont be able to connect to net, also must be able to play in window mode (not full screen)

anyone know a good one?

Fritz(watever version its upto v10?) springs to mind, not sure if it does all you ask but tis one of the best.

Also has some of the funniest Malcolm Payne voice overs if you find chess funny. Not saying i do..

Have you tried Vista yet? It has a chess game. Very good one it is too. Does not need net access. I was well chuffed when I found out that Vista will have chess as one of its games. Bowt time... Not everyone likes minesweeper..
