2. Thierry Henry - Arsenal
3. Alan Shearer - Newcastle
4. Michael Owen - Liverpool
5. Henrik Larsen - Celtic

Spain

6. Raul - Real Madrid

Bah, you wish! And he said strikers, you're a midfielder when I've seen you play! :p

Hehe, wondered if you'd see that :p

I'm a world beater wherever I play ;) I'm a centre half now though. Getting paid for it next year :)

Where and who for matey? :)

Just down the road in a place called lower hopton (near Mirfield, which in turn is in between dewsbury and hudds). Can't remember the team name - it might be lower hopton. I was drunk when they signed me :p

It aint much. Only like 12 quid an appearance plus bonuses (100 quid for MOTM and goal bonuses, etc)

Tomasson I aint sure about, but Larrson has plenty more class than Beattie. Might not be worth more through age, but that wasn't the question.

I'd much rather have Larrson in me team.

We're all entitled to our opinions.

If Beattie can manage half of what he's done this season next time round (unlikely) then he might be about as good as some of those I've listed.

Oh, and I aint played champ man for months ;) And I've never played CM4 in anger.

I think people should look at the Premiership and see who the best striker eligble for the England team is, and give him some support. Saying he's not as good as Del Piero or numerous players in the Spanish, Italian or Brazillian leagues is hardly fair unless they're proven in the Premiership, like Dahl Tomasson maybe :p

Why does Shearer need support?

Beattie is certainly NOT the best striker available to the England team. He's just the striker in the best form ATM.

Does that really matter? If he plays up front better than Beattie, but usually plays midfield it doesn't make him any less of a player up front does it?

Shearer's not eligble for selection ;)

Who's better than Beattie at the moment? Owen? a player only capable of one goal, over and over again. Or Smith, statistically the dirtiest player in the Premiership?
