Hello, :)
Right i think its time for me to clean my VERY dusty clogged up cpu cooler. but i have never taken it off before, so is it ok if i just unclip the clips holiding it in place remove the braket and clean the fan and bits round it ? Then put it straight back on again ???
Or is there anything i need to take into consideration before i take it apart and clean it ?
Ooooww and whats best to clean it, just a brush of some kind ?

Thanks for any help !!!

i clean mine with a hoover. just whip it right off there (the fan).

by bracket do you mean, bracket connecting fan to heatsink or heatsink to mobo.

if its heatsink to mobo, you will need to reseat the heatsink with some thermal paste on the cpu.

"arctic silver 5" is the best, as sold on ocuk.

you need to clean the cpu and the bottom of the heatsink. then put a small blob of the paste on the cpu and reattach the heatsink. its simple stuff. just needs enough paste to cover the cpu, very very thin layer.

the fan prob has screws in it, easier just to unscrew the fan from the heatsink tbh
