Soz if its been posted before.

Hi all,

Please be aware: -

Royal Mail postal scam.

Can you circulate this around especially as Xmas is fast approaching - it

has been confirmed by Royal Mail. The Trading Standards Office are making

people aware of the following scam:

A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel

Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and

that you need to contact them on 0906 6611911 (a premium rate number). DO

NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam originating from Belize. If you

call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will already

have been billed £15 for the phone call.

If you do receive a card with these details, then please contact Royal Mail

Fraud on 02072396655 or ICSTIS (the premium rate service regulator) at

www.icstis.org.uk

-----------------------------------

Kind of thing that would get me, got loads of stuff being delivered over xmas.

I bet this is another fake one..

Actually, a bloke in the office mentioned this yesterday and he's not the sort who gets taken in by scams, so I wouldn't be surprised to find out if its actually real.

Isn't the most you can be charged per minute £1.50? So you would have had to have been on the phone for 10 minutes to be charged £15 and tbh if you sit on the phone for that length listening to a recorded message then more fool you.

This is a fake fake, the worse kind. Its impossible to be charged that much by any number as soon as you pick up.

Beware of the "good times" virus btw, make sure to print up notices about it and stick it up everywhere, oh and forward it to your friends so it... spreads :(
