Lost our cat about two years ago, he was 18. Also with Thyriod problems, he was in a sorry state, wasn't eating and was deaf.

It was only fair to have him put down.

I'm really sorry to hear that We have 4 cats and dread the day when something like this happens.
I do know someone who's cat has just had it's 21st birthday A wee bit on the wobbly side but still holding on in there
