After selling my C2D system a few months back im looking to get one of these cheap systems as im sure i couldnt build one any cheaper. I kept my TFT so all i need is a base unit.

If i add a 7600GT and another 512Mb RAM im assuming it would make a half decent gaming system but will the 250w PSU cope with the 7600GT?

HI there

It will cope absolutely fine with a 7600 GT. We build these "Gamer version" with 7900 GS and they work flawlessy and are indeed pretty nippy for the money.

Unfortunately the PSU is not able to cope with X1950 Pro's though.

i have just been on the antec site and used the watt calculator for my current system.
AMD 4000SD
2 x SATA hdd
1 DVD/RW
4 X USB devices
1 case fan
7900GS
2 x sticks of ram

This came out at 227 watts so your spec should be fine. :D

Well all i would be adding to it is the 7600GT, another HDD that i kept from the C2D system and a DVDRW drive.

Gibbo, would it be possible to get one of these over the counter in the shop. I wouldnt expect it to be buikt as i could do that myself if i collected the parts from the shop.

EDIT : Do these use a standard size PSU? If so im assumimng it can be swapped for a beefier one if needed.
