Boot problems......

When i boot my comp up in the mornings 90% of the time it has a habit of waiting till im into Windows then just turning itself off, then when i turn it back on its fine. Does anyone know what the cause of this could be?

I'm running a 3700+, 1gb corsair ddr400, gigabyte ga-k8n and a geforce 7800gt.

It just boots into windows then aftetr about 30 seconds turns itself off, but is fine upon next boot.

Any help much appreciated.

Can you boot into windows using safe mode each time ok?

also, go into Control Panel> System Properties>click on advanced tab. Click the Settings button on the "Start up and recovery" section.

Check the button where it says " Write an entry to the the system log" preventing a restart each time.

This won't cure the problem but may give you a clue as to what's going on.

Could be a fan not getting up to speed fast enough when its cold and the bios thinking its failed and automatically shutting down to protect the system.

Good point.. is it from cold start this problem?

Yes everytime its from cold start. Will try the error reporting thing.
