Is that Tanks game like that old Atari 2600 cowboy game the name escapes me where you try and shoot player two by bouncing your bullets off the walls? :D

Yes the bullets will bounce and of course you can move.
Moving is done via the directional pad and aiming is by pointing the wiimote, hence the two are not related.
Good fun but tricky.

How many people got one on release?

I went to somewhere in falmouth on the Friday where there was supposedly 10 but actually 4!!!

I was third in queue! I thought they would give us them at 12 when they can legally sell them! But no! They made me wait till 8 in the morning! A mate came along and waited with me! There was also 3 other guys waiting and they were all pretty sound!

The somewhere staff were legendary, they made us coffees, gave us jaffa cakes and gave us a monopoly board!!! Monopoly in somewhere at 3 in the morning getting funny looks = Priceless!

Anyway i love this thing! Very good console and has all the family involved, reminds me of what gaming is all about!

It went for £300 ..... still want it?
I'm pretty sure you'll get one for less on an auction site.

I knew you wanted one didn't know you had enough wedge to prise it from my hands.

Told my daughter I had sold it for lots of money and would buy another one later and she said "oooh now you can buy me an expensive present like a Barbie".

4 year olds huh.

Dad cannot justify paying that much when a week or so after xmas he can get one for 179 (if he still wants to get us all one then :()

Quite and neither can I :)
I'm happy to go without for the profit.

That said I'll be getting another when they are in normal supply.

hey chaps - just looking for some quick advice. I ordered a Wii with a competitor on 25th October and got the "you won't get it at launch" e-mail. i heard that they have 7000 pre-orders and only 300 consoles at launch. therefore, i was wondering, what do you think would be my best bet for getting a wii before easter? cancel and order somewhere else or just wait it out?

edit: sorry about the competitor mention

Why not keep the order and then put a few more orders elsewhere. Thats what I had plan to do but I hear on the grapevine that Nintendo intend to have another 3/4 deliveries to the UK before christmas so who knows you may be lucky. I plan to wait it out with my order.

Plus would edit out the competitor as well.

I can't see an answer about so is there a way to turn off the second wiimote without shutting down the Wii when press the power button? Or does it have to be left to shut itself down?

Don't think so, doesn't take long for the wiimote to turn itself off though.

Just made a new creation and spammed him to everybody on my Friends list.

It's Wii-Borat!

Nice one lol, I LIKE!!!

btw its Jagshemash ;)

On a Wii note, I cant afford to even look for one to buy until wednesday yet it annoys me that my best friends 70 year old gran got one on release day. I would pay to see her on Wii Sports.
