Wii - What to buy

Want to get a Wii for my kids, would just the console do? I don't really know much about them.

The wii comes with 5 mini sports games - great fun.
1 controller.

Ideally for 2 player you'll want a second "wiimote" and a second "nunchuck" for 2 player boxing and a "classic controller" if you want to play some old games on it
Best way to get a second wiimote is to buy "play" which is 11 basic minigames and comes with a wiimote.

Out of the box you don't *need* anything else for single player. In fact you can 2 player golf and bowling with 1 wiimote.

Oh i'm not in any rush to get it, I just wanted to order one now and have it turn up whenever it does. Do they make RGB Scart cables for them too? would this provide the best picture?

Yep you can get RGB cables, but like the wii their in short supply at the moment.

If you have an HDTV, or a TV that supports 480p via component, then the component cable should give you the best picture. Else, the Wii RGB SCART cable should give you the best picture.
