I personally allways go with Corsair for some reason, dont know much about memory or Geil so couldnt give you a good answer.

The memory i have is fine for my setup/settings etc, had no errors or anything, although i havent tested higher FSB settings etc :p

Im Using....

I have just fitted the zalman CNPS9700 here and I have to say I am delighted with it, maybe its a little expensive for some but I find the design of it is helping cool the surrounding heatsinks and MVP on my EVGA 680i...

Regards

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, kinda loud for me though as I don't have SMART fan on so it's at 2500 RPM. Runs my 6400 @ 3.2 Ghz, 40c. idle / 52c load (enabling SMART fan makes it hella quiet, but the temps rocket, about 15c on idle and 10c on load). Great cooler overall however.

ive just got e6600 and at stock speed and volts with zalman 9700 asus probe says about 30-32c idle and 38-41c under load. if i use other temp checkers it they say about 3-5c lower.
ive now overclocked it to 3.0ghz and the vcore volt is on 1.30v and it idles at 38c and under load is about 41-44c depending on what game im playin.
i have an asus p5b deluxe wifi/ap, ati HIS x1900XT 512mb, 2x1gig corsair ddr2 pc6400c4 @ 4-4-4-12 and 2x150gb raptor-x and a samsung s-ata II 400gb in my case so there is a fair bit of stuff in there to give of some heat.
this zalman 9700 is good but custom pc said the artic freezer 7 was better and cheaper so i would like to see what people with that cooler r getting

hope this helps.

My AF7 is lame, 47C idle in a 20C room at 3.15Ghz? I'm getting a Titan Vanessa-L. That should sort my temps out.

Sounds like your IHS might not be flat then. AF7's are very, very good. It will be interesting to see what the Titan Vanessa does for you.
